Kosoo Pocha at Sai Woo is a Korean restaurant in Vancouver‘s Chinatown neighbourhood offering small plates and drinks in a trendy, izakaya-like atmosphere.
We spent a lovely evening at Kosoo Pochae and here is what we tried:
- Yuzu Makgeolli
- Hongcho Soju
- Strawberry Soju
- Clam Bibimba
- Spicy Korean Soup
- Colossal Pan-Fried Tamagoyaki
- One Whole Fried Chicken without cuts
The Yuzu Makgeolli, Hongcho Soju and Strawberry Soju were fun drinks.
With the clam bibimbap, you make nori wraps with the marinated clams and white rice.
The spicy Korean soup had a soft shell crab and vegetables.
The Colossal Pan-Fried Tamagoyaki was a a large sweet and savoury rolled omelette roll which comes with hot sauce and ketchup on the side.
The One Whole Fried Chicken without cuts had super crispy chicken skin with perfectly tender and moist meat. You cut the chicken in one half, then quarters, and then rip out the pieces. Gloves are provided!
Kosoo Pocha at Sai Woo is located at 158 E Pender Street.
