Kinton Ramen is adding not one but two new members to its growing family of ramen restaurant in Greater Vancouver when it opens the doors on locations in the heart of Downtown Vancouver’s popular Robson Street corridor at 420 Robson St. and in the burgeoning urban community of Marine Gateway at 434 SW Marine Drive this April.
Kinton’s Robson Street location has soft opened and will officially welcome guests into its new 28-seat restaurant on their Grand Opening Day, Friday, April 12 beginning at 11 a.m. and offer 50% off all dine-in ramen for one day only. Following the grand opening weekend, the restaurant will open daily from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. for dine-in, take-out and delivery. Kinton’s Marine Gateway location is expected to open later in April and will offer seating for 38 guests in a 1,228-sq.-ft. space as well as take-out and delivery daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The opening of the two new outposts highlight a period of rapid growth for the popular ramen brand that has opened three locations in Point Grey at UBC (6111 University Blvd.), North Vancouver (#105 – 1325 Lonsdale Avenue) and Surrey (#103 – 13639 George Junction) over the past two years.
The menu at both locations – developed by Kinton Ramen Executive Chef Aki Urata, will include a range of hearty ramen bowls prepared with slow-cooked pork, chicken and vegetarian broth in four distinct styles — Original, Shoyu, Miso, Spicy — as well as a newly introduced beef ramen featuring a 100-percent beef broth. Ramen bowls will be served with a choice of thick, thin or shirataki noodles and finished with traditional and modern toppings like seasoned egg, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms, nori, and sweet corn.
Kinka Family oversees a diverse portfolio of full-service restaurants (Kinka Sushi Bar Izakaya, JaBistro and Kintori Yakatori) in addition to counter-service café Neo Coffee Bar, specializing in Japanese desserts and innovative coffee- and tea-based beverages.
