July brings a full calendar of food events, seasonal menus, festivals and limited-time dining experiences across Metro Vancouver. From outdoor markets and summer celebrations to restaurant promotions and new menu launches, there are plenty of ways to eat your way through the month. Here are some of the July food happenings worth checking out around the region.
Fanny Bay Oyster Bar Brings Back Weekend Brunch
Fanny Bay Oyster Bar & Shellfish Market has brought weekend brunch back to their downtown Vancouver restaurant. Available Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the menu features West Coast seafood dishes, brunch classics and cocktails.

Menu options include Smoked Oyster Quiche, Salmon and Avocado Toast, Crab Cake Benny, Lobster Biscuit Benny, Breakfast Paella and Bananas Foster Waffle. Guests can also order oysters by the piece or a daily Shucker’s Dozen.
Brunch drinks include mimosas, sangria, Lavender Shafts, Espresso Martinis and the BC Caesar, garnished with an oyster, prawn and smoked salmon. Non-alcoholic drinks are available.
CoCo Bubble Tea YVR July Drink Specials
CoCo Bubble Tea YVR is offering several drink promotions throughout July, including new dessert-inspired smoothies and discounted summer favourites.
The Lemon Pie Cream Swirl Smoothie combines citrus and sweet cream flavours, while the Matcha Cookies Cream Swirl Smoothie blends earthy matcha with cookies and cream. Both large drinks are priced at $7.11 throughout July, regularly $7.90, at participating locations.
The Bubble Gaga and Jasmine Milk Tea with Strawberry Popping Pearls are 15% off from July 1 to 31, priced at $6.38 for a large. CoCo is also offering a buy-one-get-one-50%-off promotion every Tuesday on six selected large drinks, including Taro Slush, 3 Guys, Mango Green Tea and Brown Sugar Pearl Matcha Smoothie with Macchiato.
PICA BBQ Pop-Up at Granville Island
On July 25, Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts is hosting a BBQ pop-up at their Blue Hat Bakery Café near the entrance to Granville Island. From noon to 3 p.m., PICA chefs and students will serve Smoked Pork Shoulder with BBQ Corn Ribs and Chimichurri for $6, House-Made Watermelon Lemonade for $2, and Double Chocolate Brownies for $3. The casual pop-up offers an affordable summer lunch and a chance to support culinary students.
Sopra Sotto Launches New Summer Menu
Sopra Sotto on Commercial Drive has introduced a new summer food and drink menu featuring seasonal Italian dishes, wood-fired pizzas, fresh pasta and house cocktails.
New dishes include Tuna Crudo with pistachio and fennel vinaigrette, Burrata with figs and prosciutto, Rigatoni alla Norma, Gnocchi al Sunday Sugo with braised beef short rib, and Gamberi Pizza topped with garlic shrimp, sundried tomatoes and zucchini. Desserts include Olive Oil Lemon Cake and Tortino di Cioccolato with Amaro salted caramel.
The cocktail list has been refreshed with options such as the tropical Stella Estiva, the cucumber-based Cucumber G&T and the mezcal and tequila Rosemarino. Daily happy hour runs from 4 to 5 p.m. and again from 9 p.m. until closing.
L’Abattoir Cocktail Supports Venezuela Relief
L’Abattoir in Gastown is serving the Papelón con Limón, a $20 cocktail created with Diplomático Reserva Rum, fresh lime, coconut milk and papelón, a traditional Venezuelan cane sugar. A portion of proceeds from each cocktail will support medical care and earthquake relief efforts in Venezuela through the UWC Venezuela Alumni Earthquake Relief fundraiser. The cocktail is available in the dining room, at the bar and on L’Abattoir’s new 18-seat patio.
SUYO Peruvian Classics Tasting Menu
SUYO Modern Peruvian is celebrating Fiestas Patrias, Peru’s Independence Day, with a five-course Peruvian Classics Tasting Menu. Priced at $119 per person, the menu includes Ceviche Clásico, Tuna Causa, Octopus Anticuchero, Arroz con Pato and Lúcuma Tres Leches. Optional cocktail, wine and spirit-free beverage pairings are available. Led by Chef and Owner Ricardo Valverde, SUYO presents contemporary interpretations of Peruvian cuisine at their MICHELIN Guide-recommended restaurant in Mount Pleasant.
Free Nando’s Meal for Mandela Day
Nando’s Canada is marking Mandela Day with a food donation event on July 18 from 11 AM to 1 PM. Guests who bring one non-perishable pantry item to a participating location can receive a free quarter chicken with PERi-Fries, available for dine-in or takeout. Donated items will be distributed to food banks in local communities. The offer is available at participating Nando’s Canada restaurants, excluding Metrotown.
Anatoli Souvlaki Chicken Gyro BOGO Deal
From July 20 to 23, Anatoli Souvlaki in North Vancouver is offering a buy-one-get-one-free deal on their Chicken Gyro. Each gyro is made with a grilled pita filled with roasted chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion and housemade tzatziki.
The offer is available exclusively for takeout from the restaurant’s walk-up window. Dine-in orders and delivery apps are not included.

The Coffee Room by Nespresso
From July 23 to 26, The Coffee Room by Nespresso (101-107 E 3rd Avenue) is popping up in Mount Pleasant with iced coffee creations, limited-edition summer blends and a series of daily activities.
The immersive space will feature vintage-inspired coffee corners styled in collaboration with Canadian curator Le Centerpiece, with ideas for refreshing your own setup at home. Guests can expect activities ranging from crochet sessions and morning runs to live music and other surprises.
The first 50 visitors each day will receive a complimentary Nespresso Iced Coffee Tumbler in the new Bubble Gum shade.
