Icy Bar is a longstanding local dessert brand specializing in Taiwanese-style desserts. They are best known for their shaved ice desserts topped with an assortment of fruits, ice creams, jellies and more.
I visited their Granville Street location in Vancouver and tried the Mango Tapioca with Pomelo Icy, which was a refreshing option that combines the sweetness of ripe mangoes with a hint of bitterness from the pomelo.
I also enjoyed the Durian Tapioca Icy with a blend of creamy durian, chewy tapioca and light shaved ice. The cold base nicely contrasted the strong flavours of the durian.

Icy Bar is good for both dine-in and takeout but they have a minimum spend per person for dine-in.
