Ho Yuen Cafe Vancouver Revisit – What We Tried

Ho Yuen Cafe is a Hong Kong-style cafe that opened up earlier this year.  Here is what we tried on our second visit to Ho Yuen Cafe.

On the menu are housemade pastries (like Egg Tart with Cookie shell) and Pineapple Bun) and entrees like Homemade BBQ Pork in Noodles Soup, Satay Beef in Instant Noodles Soup and more.

First there was the Ginger Sauced Beef in Vermicelli Soup which we had as a meal set with toast and scrambled eggs.  I enjoyed the gentle ginger flavours with the tender beef.

The Pork Chop bun was super delicious and had crispy tender pork chop.  I definitely recommend this one.

There was also the fully loaded Homemade BBQ Pork on Rice bowl with sunny side up egg and vegetables.

Not to be missed are their housemade pastries and we had their Egg Tart in Cookie-like Shell as well as the Pineapple Bun with butter.

For drinks, we had an Ovaltine as well as an Unsweetened Soy Bean Milk.

While I was there, they played nostalgic Cantopop songs and this time they had songs from 谭咏麟, 陳慧嫻 and 王菲.

On our way out, we grabbed some more of their Original Pineapple Buns and their housemade Matcha Red Bean bread to go.

Ho Yuen Cafe is a great little Hong Kong-style cafe to try out and I always like their nostalgic vibes.

Ho Yuen is open Monday – Saturday from 9 am – 4 pm and don’t be surprised if there is a bit of a wait for a table as they have become busy.

Ho Yuen Cafe is located at 1750 W 75th Ave #113, Vancouver.
