In the kitchen, Chef Monroe Webb has beefed up the Hero’s Heroes menu by adding new hot sandwiches like the FX TV show-inspired The Bear (roast beef, provolone, hot giardiniera, mayo, au jus), Giovanni (ham, genoa, Calabrese, provolone, olives, roasted peppers, red onion, lettuce, oil, vinegar) and Grilled Cheese (cheddar, provolone, mozzarella on organic sourdough).

Guests can also customize their own creations via a list of optional add-ons that includes bacon, coconut bacon, tomato, roasted peppers, kimchi and more.

Also new to the roster is Hero’s Happy Hour, offered daily from 4 to 6 p.m. and featuring a free snack with the purchase of any regularly priced alcoholic drink (until the end of November), 20% off the entire food menu, pints of Phillips draught and single well highballs for $4.50, and 5oz glasses of house red or white wine for $5.50.

Classic cocktails making their fall and winter debut on the Hero’s menu include the Old Fashioned (Old Forester bourbon, bitters, sugar, orange zest), Margarita (Cazadores Reposado, Cointreau, lime) and Dark & Stormy (Bacardi black, ginger beer, bitters, lime, lemon, while pitchers of Sangria, Aperol Spritz, Razzle Dazzle and Naval Strength Rum Punch help guests go big for the whole table.

Hockey and Football fans can also scratch their sports itch every weekend when Hero’s hosts Hockey Night on Saturdays starting at 4 p.m., with NHL games on the big screens with full sound the Legion’s beloved Meat Draws sponsored by Windsor Meats taking place twice a night at 5 and 8 p.m., and NFL games stealing the spotlight starting at noon every Sunday.

The fun continues before and after the games when guests can test their skills and take on friends on the pool tables, pinball and skee ball machines and dart boards in Hero’s back room, where medals, archival photographs and memorabilia pay homage to the men and women who served our country at home and overseas and formed the foundation of the club that exists today.
