Camp Cue, Canada’s first overnight musical theatre training camp, has launched this year for 13-18 year olds who have a passion for musical theatre and want to experience an exciting 6-night stay at the beautiful Camp Shawnigan on Vancouver Island.

The first overnight musical theatre training camp for teens in Canada will take place from July 17th to 23rd 2022. It will combine all of the excitement and experiences of camp life with high-level musical theatre training from industry professionals to inspire the next generation of young artists.
The teaching programme will be led by co-founders Nicol Spinola and Nicole Stevens who combined have over 30 years of experience in professional musical theatre. Several guest artists will also be joining the teaching team alongside Camp Cue’s founders, including Robert Markus, who is most recently known for performing the titular role in Dear Evan Hansen.
Robert received a Toronto Theatre Critics Award and a Dora Award nomination for his portrayal of Evan in Dear Evan Hansen. Additional guest teaching artists and new faculty members will also be announced over the coming weeks including artists with credits that span from Broadway to the Arts Club Theatre Company.
Camp Cue takes a unique approach to teaching, with a range of indoor and outdoor classes and workshops built to offer perspectives and skills that young campers won’t get in their regular theatre classes, such as ensemble building techniques, improv, acting through song, industry talks, broadway q&a’s and more.
There will also be a chance for campers to relax and take in all the wonderful experiences a summer camp has to offer, from hikes and swimming to camp fires, sing-alongs and yoga by the lake.
