AZUR Legacy Collection Hotel unveiled the unique, Middle Eastern-inspired Lavantine Restaurant & Skybar, located in the heart of Downtown Vancouver’s Coal Harbour District at 833 West Pender Street. The Lavantine rooftop complements the hotel’s luxury with breathtaking views and a sophisticated ambiance.

Open Tuesdays through Saturdays, Lavantine offers guests a garden-like setting while the sun shines and a magical enclave by moonlight that showcases such unique design features as a retractable awning, fountain that hearkens back to Arabesque courtyards, lush greenery, open-concept kitchen, window views of Vancouver’s skyscrapers and more. The rooftop optimizes the year-round abundance of sunlight. Believing that food is best enjoyed in the company of loved ones, the refined dining experience at Lavantine centers around the essence of social and sharing experiences, encouraging guests to bond over delectable dishes while creating lasting memories.

Guests can also feed their senses with sumptuous entrées from the fire like Lamb Aleppo Kebab with pine nut, cilantro and red pepper, Tiger Prawns with cilantro, dill, garlic and smoked pepper, and Beef Tenderloin with roasted pepper, crispy onion and Levant sauce, among others. Share Plates available for the table include Whole Branzino with smoked pepper and lemon, Roasted Cauliflower with jalapeño coconut, pistachio dukkah, smoked pepper, maple tahini and pomegranate, Lamb Shank Tagine with wild rice, saffron, pistachio, sour cherry and garlic labneh, and a 24oz Cowboy Steak with harissa garlic butter, smoked sea salt and pickled pepper.

The Lavantine menu is envisioned and executed by AZUR Chef duo Shyam Longani and Daniel Kenney and their talented culinary team and inspired by the flavours and recipes of the Levant region as well as the fresh, locally sourced ingredients available from purveyors throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Wine aficionados will enjoy plenty of transportive experiences thanks to a list of varietals available by the glass and bottle that showcases the very best vineyards of France, Spain and Italy as well as standouts from notable New World wineries in California’s Napa Valley as well as renowned, award-winning producers in BC’s own backyard such as Hester Creek, Moon Curser, Black Hills, Meyer, Stoneboat and more.

Bar Manager Serhii Kulikov has also affixed his stamp on a thoughtfully curated cocktail list comprising both classic and contemporary libations that whisk guests on sensory journeys into the mystical realms of Arabian folklore courtesy of floral notes, exotic spices and Mediterranean flavours.

Highlights from the new cocktail menu include the Rahat Lokum Old Fashioned, inspired by Turkey’s sweet delight, blending floral notes and warm spices to evoke Istanbul’s vibrant streets. The Pandan Cheesecake Delight channels Thailand with its lush pandan aroma and velvety textures. The Negroni Passion Créme Brûlée fuses the classic Negroni with Spain’s luscious Passion Fruit Créme Brûlée, balancing bold sophistication with creamy decadence. The Baklava Espresso Martini pays tribute to Greece, combining Baklava’s rich flavors with espresso’s intense aroma and velvety texture. The Ambrosia Dirty Martini, inspired by Italy’s Strawberry Pineapple Ambrosia Salad, merges briny olive notes with fruity sweetness and tropical zest. Each cocktail reflects our bar team’s innovative approach to mixology, blending traditional and contemporary elements for unique, unforgettable flavors.

Situated on the rooftop of the newest 5-Star boutique hotel in the city and the only member   of the Leading Hotels of the World in Western Canada, Lavantine’s open-concept kitchen and chef’s table and Skybar will all be complemented by sweeping views of the city skyline, ocean and mountains.
