Buy BC is delighted to announce the renewal of their delicious partnership with local food champion, Ned Bell as the program ambassador.

The award-winning chef is well-known for his support of local, seasonal, and sustainable foods while highlighting the stories of the farmers, fishers, processors, makers, and artisans from the various industries in B.C.
Bell has long inspired people to think bigger about ingredients harvested from B.C.’s food systems to make better-informed choices.
This leads to better outcomes for both the food cycle and the environment. In his role as Buy BC Ambassador, Bell advocates for all members of the program throughout the province.
Bell’s role has him “boots on the ground” and meeting the people who put food on B.C.’s tables, learning about food system connections, spreading information, and creating delicious local recipes.
First launched in the ‘90s, Buy BC makes it easy for consumers to identify local ingredients and products by the presence of the Buy BC logo.
The program was established by the provincial government and is led by the new Minister of Agriculture and Food, Pam Alexis.
