Treat mom, grandma, or the special mother figure in your life to Mother’s Day on the Farm (May 14, 11 am-5 pm), where she’ll feel like royalty thanks to complimentary wine tastings and organic tomato plants to take home as a special gift.

Mothers also get free admission to the Hands On Harvest Canadian Signature Experience, a guided journey through the Coverts’ 650-acre regenerative farm and vineyards (reservations must be booked in advance).

The weekend’s live entertainment is provided by Sean Peterson, an Oliver native who will play classic and contemporary covers ranging from Neil Young to the Lumineers.

Starting June 25, Covert Farms will revive Live Music Sundays (1-4 pm), starring a diverse roster of BC acts.

Highlights include Moving Lines, an ‘80s rock-influenced band composed of husband-wife duo Jill and Kevin Kai; The Cliff McIntyre Band, combining rock and folk for a groovy musical gumbo; and JUNO award-winner Ryan McAllister, who has played thousands of concerts with artists ranging from Willy Nelson to Sam Roberts.

Back by popular demand are Covert Farms’ Campfire Cookouts.

Guests can book a private fire pit along with a ready-to-grill kit that contains Two Rivers organic hot dogs or smokies, fresh buns, condiments, and a s’mores kit.

Adults will receive a half-bottle of wine while kiddos can sip locally-made organic juice.

The two-hour experience includes ample time to enjoy farm games and the jumping pillow and will be offered throughout spring, summer, and fall.

Visitors are invited to add-on experiences to any existing reservation, including kid-friendly tastings and tours.

Adventures include guided mini-walking tours to meet farm animals (available weekends in June, and Wednesday to Sunday starting July 1); as well as tastings of locally made organic juices and artisan cheese and charcuterie boards.

Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available upon request for the picnics, campfire cookouts, and tastings.
