Looking a way to celebrate Lunar New Year in Vancouver? Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is hosting a Year of the Fire Horse two-day event on February 21 and 22.
The weekend includes lion dancing, live music and dance performances, calligraphy, tea ceremonies and traditional sugar candy art. You can also watch dumpling and nian gao demonstrations, wander through lantern displays and have your fortune read.
There will be local food and artisan vendors throughout the event, along with activities for both adults and kids.
It’s a nice opportunity to experience Lunar New Year traditions while spending some time in the garden and Vancouver’s Chinatown neighbourhood.
