Metropolis at Metrotown continues to add new food concepts, and one of the latest is the OAKBERRY pop up that brings açaí bowls into the spotlight.

Oakberry’s concept is simple, açaí served cold with customizable toppings or built into preset bowls and smoothies.

What to expect on the menu
The menu is divided between build your own bowls, signature bowls, smoothies, and a small matcha section.

Create Your Own options come in three sizes, Classic, Works, and The Oak, with the ability to layer toppings like granola, fresh fruit, nut butters, chia pudding, and protein add-ons. The combinations feel flexible enough whether you want something more fruity or slightly more filling.
Signature Bowls include options like Crunchy (with açaí, chia pudding, granola, strawberry, blueberry, and cacao nibs) and Fruity which is a brighter mix with banana and strawberry over double granola. Original keeps it simple with açaí, granola, peanut butter, and banana, while Matcha brings in matcha chia pudding with strawberry and banana. PB & J is on the sweeter side with raspberry and peanut butter, and Golden Almonds adds almond butter and blueberries for a slightly nuttier profile.
On the drinks side, Signature Smoothies like Tropical Beats, with açaí, passionfruit, mango, and turmeric, and Berry Blast, a mix of berries with coconut water, keep things refreshing. Blue Fairy stands out visually with blue spirulina and banana, while Super Glow adds coconut milk and collagen.
High Protein Smoothies such as PB & Whey and Super Whey are more substantial, built with açaí and protein for something closer to a meal replacement.
There is also a small matcha lineup including Matcha Latte, Strawberry Matcha, Açaí Matcha, and Mango Matcha, all made with oat milk.
Pro Tip
Their açaí has a thick, almost soft serve texture, cold and slightly tart, which works well with the contrast of crunchy toppings. It is not overly sweet unless you choose sweeter add ons, which gives you some control over the final flavour.
One this visit, I had the Classic (with strawberries, banana, and granola) and the Berry Storm (with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and pomegranate juice) which were delicious.

In a mall setting where options can feel heavier, this stands out as something lighter and easier to carry around. You can find OAKBERRY in the food court.
