Hawkers Delight Deli has been a long-standing presence on Main Street, serving Singaporean and Malaysian comfort food in a casual setting.

Family-owned and operated for over two decades, the restaurant has built a steady following for their consistent flavours and approachable menu rooted in Southeast Asian staples.

Most entrees are around $13.95 and are reasonably priced for the quality and portions.

The menu focuses on familiar dishes that reflect everyday eating across Singapore and Malaysia, with a range of rice plates, noodle dishes, and small bites. Portions are generous, and the food arrives quickly, making it a reliable stop for a relaxed meal.
Here is what I tried.
Lamb Curry With Rice featured tender pieces of lamb in a thick, aromatic curry. The sauce carried a mix of spices that lingered gently, coating the rice well. The vegetables added texture, and the overall dish felt comforting.

Prawn Noodles came in a savoury broth with a seafood flavour. The wheat noodles were soft with a slight bite, while the prawns, pork slices, and fish cake added variety. The greens and sprouts brought some freshness to balance the richness of the soup.

Fried Kuey Teow was stir-fried with broad rice noodles, egg, and a mix of prawns, fish cake, and shredded chicken. The noodles had a slight char from the wok, giving the dish a smoky note.

Vegetable Fritters arrived crisp on the outside with a soft interior. The batter held together with the centre offering a mild sweetness and a light crunch. They worked well as a simple starter to share.

Nasi Lemak included coconut rice with a fragrant aroma, paired with grilled chicken, peanuts, cucumber, and sambal. The sambal added a gentle heat, while the peanuts and cucumber brought contrast in texture. The chicken was well-seasoned and complemented the rice.

Roti was served warm with a side of curry for dipping. The flatbread had a soft, slightly chewy texture, and the curry provided a savoury accompaniment that made it easy to enjoy on its own or alongside other dishes.
