WestOak in Yaletown has a delicious weekday lunch and brunch menu featuring dishes priced at $20 or less. This offering is a welcome option for those looking to enjoy a satisfying and reasonably priced daytime meal in Downtown Vancouver. Here are some highlights from my experience.

The Yaletown Breakfast ($18) includes two organic scrambled eggs, parmesan home fries, and sourdough toast. The eggs were cooked just right—soft and fluffy—while the home fries had a nice crispy texture. There is a choice of bacon, chorizo sausage, or grilled avocado, and I went with the chorizo for an extra kick of flavour.

Next was the Alfredo And Sausage Rigatoni ($19.75) which was cooked al dente, and the creamy alfredo sauce coated every piece perfectly. The hot Italian sausage added a savoury richness, making this dish both hearty and satisfying.

The BLT Sandwich ($16) was a classic done well. The sourdough toast was nicely crisp, and the bacon had just the right amount of crunch. I opted for the triple-cooked fries on the side, which were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

The Chinois Prawns ($18). The housemade spicy aioli paired beautifully with the sweetness of the candied walnuts, and the sesame seeds added a slight nuttiness. It was a well-balanced dish with a satisfying mix of flavours and textures.

To round out the meal, I had a mimosa while my friend enjoyed a latte. Both drinks were well-prepared and complemented the dishes nicely.

Overall, WestOak has created a weekday lunch and brunch menu that delivers quality and value. It’s an easy recommendation for anyone looking to enjoy a mid-day meal in Yaletown.
