Smitty’s Oyster House Main Street Adds Weekend Brunch

Smitty’s Oyster house on Main Street is bringing Weekend Brunch to the menu at the Mount Pleasant hotspot starting this Friday, March 31, with a special Easter Monday service offered on April 10th.

The Breakfast Club: Smitty's Oyster House On Main Street Adds Weekend Brunch To The Menu Starting This Friday, March 31

Available on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the new menu from Head Chef Alan Older adds an array of creatively delicious dishes to the menu, including a trio of spins on brunch staple Eggs Benedict (Smoked Salmon, Crab, and Classic), a towering Chef AO’s Shrimp & Lobster Roll with house-made Old Bay-seasoned potato chips, a selection of sides for the DIY crowd, and more.

Behind the pine, GM and Bar Manager Nicky Annable will stir up a bevy of boozy brunch libations such as Mimosas in orange, raspberry, and grapefruit flavours, Smitty’s Caesars (vodka, Smitty’s signature clamato, freshly grated horseradish, lime, pickle), Espresso Martinis (vodka, Kahlua, espresso, shaved chocolate) and Classic Margaritas (Cazadores reposado, Cointreau, fresh lime, agave).

The full Weekend Brunch menu at Smitty’s Oyster House on Main Street features the following:

  • The OG Breakfast (two eggs, applewood smoked bacon, heirloom tomato, hash cakes, toasted baguette);
  • The BLT (applewood smoked bacon, heirloom tomato, lettuce, grilled lemon aioli, hash cakes);
  • Smitty’s Classic Benny (roasted heirloom tomatoes, applewood smoked bacon, poached eggs, Hollandaise);
  • The Crab Cake Benny (butter-fried Baffin Bay crab, poached eggs, Hollandaise);
  • The Smoked Salmon Benny (herbed cream cheese, red onion, capers, poached eggs, Hollandaise);
  • Chef AO’s Shrimp & Lobster Roll (brioche, garlic butter, avocado, pickled onions, greens, house-made Old Bay seasoned potato chips)

If you have multiple items, they can present it all on a beautiful brunch platter. We enjoyed the creative takes on the brunch items at our media tasting. Our favourites were the BLT (light and delicious); Chef AO’s Shrimp & Lobster Roll (which had a fun hollowed out toasted bread) and the Hashbrown Cakes (which incorporates eggs).
