Vancouver Firefighters Charities Hall Of Flame Calendar Signing

Vancouver Firefighters Charities (VFC) members will don their festive best and deck the halls with cheer when they host a signing of VFC’s charitable Hall of Flame Calendar at Parq Casino and Resort (39 Smithe Street) on Friday, December 8th from 7pm to 9pm. Proceeds of all calendar purchases directly support the VFC.

The event will take place outside of Lotus Lounge on Level 3 of the downtown casino resort destination and see past and present firefighters featured in the VFC’s Hall of Flame fundraising calendars on site in festive gear to sign copies of the 2024 edition, hand out treats and take photos with guests. Join the firefighters after the calendar signing and continue the party in Lotus Lounge on Level 3 with resident performers, Pianos at Parq, starting at 9pm.

For another year running, Parq is an official partner of the 2024 edition of the annual Hall of Flame Calendar. The Hall of Flame calendar is the longest running firefighters’ calendar in the world and has raised more than a million dollars for the BC Professional Firefighters Burn Fund as well as VFC’s charitable outreach programs like Snacks for Kids and Lifelines for Seniors that benefit at-risk youth and seniors in communities throughout BC since its debut in 1988.

The event takes place five days before the VFC will mobilize more than a hundred of its members to co-host the 36th annual Christmas Wish Breakfast at the Pan Pacific Hotel (#300-999 Canada Place). On Wednesday, December 13, they will welcome Jolly Old Saint Nick and assemble a towering mountain of toys and accept unwrapped gifts that will be donated to families in need by the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau.

VFC members also pledge their time and funds to a number of programs including the BC Burn FundSnacks For KidsSports For Kids and Lifelines For Seniors, among others.
