Notch8 at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver will launch its next themed Afternoon Tea service in celebration of the upcoming return of spring and the city’s signature Cherry Blossoms, beginning on Thursday, February 23, 2023.
Notch8’s next iteration, led by Head Chef Danai Hongwanishkul, embraces the changing season with its newly imagined Cherry Blossom Afternoon Tea.
Notch8 has partnered with Vancouver-based Koncept Designs again to transform the tea room into a fully immersive experience with the spring-inspired decor of blossoms and blooms that will fill the space, setting the backdrop for a sensory tea service.
A selection of specialty cocktails and wines are available as optional add-ons to the experience.
For every afternoon tea sold through the season, Notch8 will plant one tree through One Tree Planted, a non-profit organization committed to helping the environment by planting trees across British Columbia
The Cherry Blossom Afternoon Tea will be available from Thursday, February 23 through May 21 with seatings held at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.
The special Cherry Blossom Afternoon Tea Menu is available for $74 per person ($37.00 for children 12 and under) and begins with a selection of loose-leaf tea, along with sweet and savoury bites such as Konbini Egg Salad Sandwich, Albacore Tuna Tataki, Sakura Pork Katsu, Black Sesame Cookies, Cherry Mascarpone Verrine, and Matcha Profiterole.

Reservations
The Cherry Blossom Afternoon Tea at Notch8 is available Thursday through Sundays from February 23 through May 21 with three seatings available at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.

Afternoon Tea can also be reserved in Tea-to-Go format by ordering in advance online.
I loved my experience at the media tasting and my favourites were the Albacore Tuna Tataki; Konbini Egg Salad Sandwich; and Matcha Profiterole.
