Tamaly Shop Introduces Immersive Cultural Events

Tamaly Shop in Vancouver offers immersive events that bring together food, culture and hands-on activities in an engaging, interactive format. A recent media preview provided a first look at the experiences the team plans to host at their Mount Pleasant location

The evening began with a masa-making demonstration, offering guests a closer look at the foundation of tamales and the preparation behind the dish. The demonstration added context to the tasting menu and introduced the techniques used throughout the experience.

We then made their own dessert tamaly, choosing between pineapple or blueberry with cream cheese. The hands-on activity offered a chance to work directly with the masa and personalize the filling.

The tasting menu allowed guests to choose dishes from several categories. We started with Pico de Gallo, Classic Guacamole, Granny’s Noodle Soup and Tortilla Tomato Soup.

The next course included the Pork Tamal, Chicken and Mole Tamale, Pork Taco and Aztec Taco. The meal finished with Enfrijoladas and Enmoladas, bringing together fresh, comforting and savoury flavours across the experience.

Live music by Ana Posada added a steady rhythm to the room, and artwork by Joel Gala brought a visual element that complemented the setting. Food, music, art and hands-on preparation came together naturally throughout the evening.

The media preview offered an introduction to the types of cultural and culinary events Tamaly Shop will be bringing to their Mount Pleasant space.

Tamaly Shop is located at 2525 Main St, Vancouver, BC.
