The First Dessert on Victoria Drive offers a comforting selection of traditional Cantonese desserts along with modern flavours. Known for their silky tofu pudding, black sesame soup, mango sago, and golden tangyuan, the shop presents more than fifty desserts made for sharing with friends or family.
Guests can enjoy signature items such as ginger milk, sesame paste, grass jelly, mango pomelo sago, and durian. The setting is casual and inviting, reflecting the charm of Hong Kong–style dessert cafés.
The newest addition to the menu is their Housemade Ice Cream Series featuring small-batch flavours priced between $7 and $9 for 8 oz. We tried their Egg Yolk Ice Cream and it was delicious! Availability changes regularly so guests can check in-store for what is offered that day.
We also enjoyed their Ginger Milk and Coconut Milk and Mango Mango with Mini Mochi and Sago.
Open Monday to Friday from 3 to 11 p.m. and weekends from 2 to 11 p.m., The First Dessert welcomes anyone craving a late-night sweet or the familiar comfort of Cantonese dessert.
