Barra Gitano Unveils New Summer Menu in Davie Village

Barra Gitano, the Latin-inspired eatery in Vancouver’s Davie Village, has launched a refreshed summer menu featuring bold new dishes and cocktails designed for warm weather dining. Located at 1202 Davie Street, the restaurant offers a sun-soaked patio and vibrant indoor space with seating for 100, ideal for leisurely evenings and happy hour gatherings.

The updated menu brings an array of Latin and Mexican-inspired offerings, including new appetizers like Tuna Tostada, Roasted Cauliflower, and Tomato + Burrata, as well as entrée additions such as Guajillo Prawns, Birria Noodle Soup, Arroz Tumbado, and Buñuelo de Barbacoa. Taco fans can try three-per-order selections like Pork Belly, Ribeye Campechano, and Fish Tacos.

Desserts include a deep-fried Gansito + Ice Cream and cinnamon-dusted Churros served with chocolate sauce. Happy Hour runs 4 to 6 p.m. and again from 9 p.m. to close, with Thursday specials running all day.

On the cocktail side, the bar menu introduces summer-ready options like the Sol Brillante, Catching Feelings, Black Forest Sour, and Something Tiki, alongside a rotating list of zero-proof creations and sangrias by the glass or pitcher. Signature margaritas include variations like the Gitano Margarita with guava purée, the Passion Fruit Margarita, the Spicy Pineapple Mezcalita, and the Coconut Mint Margarita.
