Horin Ramen is set to open up a new outpost at Crystal Mall in Burnaby. The new location will be facing Kingsway on the ground level at 4500 Kingsway Unit 1687.
Horin Ramen currently has a location on Robson Street in Downtown Vancouver and is known for their Fukuoka-style tonkotsu ramen, which features a rich and creamy pork bone broth.
The ramen at Horin is deeply rooted in the founder’s original recipe from Fukuoka, Japan, where the first restaurant pioneered the use of chili pepper in tonkotsu ramen. This spicy tare (sauce) featuring chili peppers adds a unique flavor profile and increases the umami taste of broth.
Horin Ramen also offers a customizable ramen experience, allowing diners to choose the firmness of their noodles, the richness of the broth, and the level of spiciness.
At Horin Ramen Robson, “The One” is a popular choice and comes as a fully-loaded ramen bowl with chashu, green onions, soft-boiled egg and the spicy tare. The gyoza is also highly recommended as a side dish to complement the ramen.
